County of Marin Health and Human Services

Statewide Prevention and Early Intervention

California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) conducts statewide and regional Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) efforts including Suicide Prevention, Stigma and Discrimination Reduction, and Student Mental Health Initiative. Marin County provides funds to CalMHSA, as well as local components of these efforts, such as the 24/7 Suicide Prevention Hotline run by Family Service Agency of Marin, a division of Buckelew Programs.

Mental Health and Substance Use Services (MHSUS) changed its name to Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS).  As such, all references in existing departmental policies and procedures to MHSUS can be understood to reference BHRS as well.
