North Marin Community Services

The North Marin Community Services offers a food pantry and helps low-income residents in Novato overcome their crises and move toward self-sufficiency. A 501(c)3 community-based nonprofit agency, it provides housing assistance, employment, counseling, educational programs, information and referral, emergency food and transportation services for seniors. Employment & Job Matching Program offers skill & interest assessment; resume & interviewing assistance; job developing, matching & coaching; workplace etiquette/ethics. Also available: Local job listings, internet access for employment seekers.
Rental and Critical Needs Assistance:
• One time financial assistance is available for families with children living in the home, seniors or disabled adults. Single adults at risk of being homeless may also be eligible depending upon availability of funds.
• Families who are homeless or are at risk of being homeless can be provided with a one-time payment of rent or mortgage to prevent a loss of housing.
• Grants for critical needs such as car repairs, medical bills, and special equipment.
