Casa Rene is a ten (10) bed Crisis Residential Unit Located in Marin County. This unit serves to provide an alternative to Locked Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Care. It also serves as a step down unit from locked psychiatric units to a lower level of care in the community with a recovery and wellness focus. The program is voluntary ancd requires consumer cooperation. This program is operated by Buckelew and currently all referrals come through Marin County Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU).

Mental Health and Substance Use Services (MHSUS) changed its name to Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS).  As such, all references in existing departmental policies and procedures to MHSUS can be understood to reference BHRS as well.
